Among my word games, 3D Word Puzzle (among others) stands out from other typical games in the same category. Instead of using a rectangular grid to place words in designated spaces, this game uses 3D grids made up of one, two, or even three cubes. The spaces for the words can sometimes span two faces—either of the same cube or of two different cubes. The words, just like in a classic word puzzle game, are always entered from left to right and top to bottom. Here are two games, each consisting of three 8x8x8 cubes.

The 3D word fill-In puzzle gives a little pep to the classic word fill-in puzzle. In this puzzle presented, the grid has two 12x12 cubes. Then a word could be written on a face and be continued on another face of the cube or even on the face of another cube. In the list of words, I favour the use of long words (11 letter words)just to add more pep.

What happens when a well-known game mutates into a new one, while retaining its original fun? Well, in the case of word search, when it becomes 3-dimensional, it gives the game a very unusual appearance. Words must be placed in a grid made up of three cubes. The words can go from one side of a cube to another side, and even to a third side, each time going in a different direction. But since it's an amalgam of cubes, the words can be also written on the faces of different cubes. The pleasure of finding the exact place where a word goes is always present, and is even increased tenfold by the game's new look. Give it a try.
